INSPA brings together sport psychology professionals, researchers, and students to strengthen ethical practice, education, and collaboration in Indian sport.

Who are we?

We are a group of qualified sport psychologists who have come together with an aim to make the sport psychology practice in India ethical and scientific.

The Indian Sports Psychologists' Association (INSPA) was founded by forward-thinking sport psychologists with the aim of unifying India's qualified sport psychologists under one banner. The INSPA team intends to build a strong network of passionate, ethical and proficient individuals in order to promote and advance the field of sports psychology.

Keerthana is a Sport Psychologist based in Chennai. She has a keen interest in psychological safety for athletes and parents

Maurelle D'Sa

Secretary

Maurelle is a Sport and Exercise Psychologist. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Health from Edge Hill University, Lancashire, U.K. She has a keen interest in physical activity, sport, and mental health

Varadayini Gorhe

Treasurer

Varadayini is a Sport Psychologist based in Pune, India. She has a keen interest in coach- athlete- parent triad and motivational climate in youth sports

Parth is a Sport Psychologist and teacher at Corvus School, Karjat (near Mumbai). He has a keen interest in neuroscience and sports

Dr. Chaitanya Sridhar

Dr. Chaitanya is a Holistic Sport Psychologist, working in the Sports Industry to help athletes achieve their top performance for more than two decades. She has worked with Sports Personnel from various disciplines with several elite athletes including International and Olympic medalists.

She has a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Sport Psychology from the University of Western Australia.

She is also in advanced Training to become a Jungian Analyst in Analytical Psychology.

Dr. Sridhar is an Adjunct Faculty for IIT-Madras and a Tedx speaker.

Mugdha Bavare

Sports Psychologist Mugdha Bavare has been an ex-international swimmer herself and a recipient of State’s highest award, Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Award, for excellence in swimming.

Mugdha is a Co-founder of Disha Counseling Center, a Mental Health Center dedicated to the mental health and vocational guidance of children, adolescents and adults since last 25 years.

Mugdha is a founder of Mindsports that works for mental training and performance enhancement of athletes.
